Please review the latest updates noted below in response to the winter storm and the impact to our Texas communities.

  • Emergency Preparedness Plan
  • Evacuation Plan
    • Brookdale Watauga
    • Brookdale White Rock
  • Important Note Regarding Returns to Communities

We have been in constant contact with communities throughout Texas, and all are reporting to be doing well.

Several Brookdale communities across Texas have had power restored. For any impacted communities, we continue to work with the local utility companies on restoration efforts.

Emergency Preparedness Plan

The safety and well-being of our residents are our highest priorities. We are monitoring the situation at all impacted communities and have detailed emergency preparedness plans in place to try and address all aspects of an emergency situation. Our communities are equipped with water, food, onsite or ready-to-deploy generators, and supplies, including face coverings, hand sanitizer and disinfectants to care for residents.

We are taking appropriate actions to keep them safe throughout the outages and following the guidance and direction of authorities when it comes to potential evacuations.

We will update this website and community Facebook pages with any necessary updates regarding the status of the communities. Subscribe to email news alerts here.

Evacuation Plan

In the event that an evacuation is needed, we have detailed plans in place that include moving residents to a safer area with accompanying care associates, providing temporary accommodations as well as food, beverages and personal belongings.

Brookdale Watauga

Brookdale Watauga residents were relocated to nearby communities: Brookdale North Richland Hills, Brookdale Richland Hills Memory Care and Brookdale Oak Hollow.

Brookdale White Rock

Brookdale White Rock was relocated to Brookdale Creekside.

Important Note Regarding Returns to Communities:

Residents will remain in their temporary accommodations until officials approve the return home. Only when the area has been declared safe for return and the building assessed and cleaned, would we be able to return residents to their home community.

When that happens, we would contact the residents and families, including those that may have left with friends or families. Returns have not been cleared at this time.

If you have a specific question about a loved one, we encourage you to contact the community directly.
