Residents from Brookdale Club Hill are on a cross-country road trip, traveling by bus from Texas to Tennessee. They made a pit stop at Brookdale’s corporate office in Brentwood to make a special delivery – a Dr. Seuss themed reading bench handmade by the community’s weekly crafting class.

“We have a group of about ten residents who built this bench,” said David Sweet, director of resident programs and road trip organizer. “We made 15 benches and delivered them to local elementary schools for Dr. Seuss’s birthday. But we saved the best delivery for last!”

Brookdale associates, including Cindy Baier, CEO, and Mary Sue Patchett, executive vice president of community operations, greeted the residents at the corporate office.  Associates are already arguing over where the colorful bench should sit!

After delivering the thoughtful gift, residents loaded the bus and headed out for a night at the Opry, then on to Pigeon Forge in the morning.
