Brookdale Senior Living was awarded the Community Service Excellence Award from the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants (WICPA) for their continued support of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s at the 2018 Membership Recognition Banquet and Annual Business Meeting on May 10th at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
WICPA awards the Community Service Excellence Award to organizations/firms that demonstrate outstanding efforts to promote public service involvement at local, regional and state levels.
Since 2008, Brookdale has contributed nearly $12 million to the Walk to End Alzheimer’s all through associate, resident and family participation in their local Walk to End Alzheimer’s events across the country; more than $670,000 was raised in the state of Wisconsin in 2017.
“We’re honored to receive this recognition by WICPA,” said Cindy Baier, president and chief executive officer of Brookdale Senior Living, at the banquet. “This award honors our commitment to those living with Alzheimer’s and applauds our efforts in Wisconsin, specifically. Our fundraising efforts help support both care and support programs across the country, and help the Alzheimer’s Association get closer to a world without the disease.”
