Three members of Brookdale’s Board of Directors and the company itself were honored at the 9th Annual “Board Walk of Fame” on November 14. President, CEO, and Director Lucinda “Cindy” Baier, and board members Rita Johnson-Mills and Denise Wilder Warren all were individual inductees, selected for being Tennessee women serving on a public or private board with revenues greater than $200 million and/or market cap greater than $200 million. Additionally, Brookdale Senior Living Inc. was honored as a corporate inductee for having three or more women directors.
Brookdale is a standout in corporate America, having equal representation of men and women on its board, with four of each. “The company is committed to performance and it is well-established that companies with diverse teams are more likely to outperform their peers”, said Baier.
Board Chair Lee S. Wielansky joined Baier in accepting this award on behalf of Brookdale. The Board Walk of Fame is sponsored by CABLE, a Nashville-based leadership organization for women’s professional advancement. This year’s ceremony featured keynote speaker Jan Babiak, an independent director and global business leader with over 30 years of business and public company board experience serving a wide range of sectors.
