Brookdale President and Chief Executive Officer Lucinda “Cindy” Baier has been appointed to the Board of Directors for the National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care (NIC), a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to further access and choice for America’s seniors. NIC is an important and respected industry organization that, since 1993, has served as a resource for investors in the senior housing and care sector. As a member of the Board, Baier will help advance NIC’s mission through data, analytics, and connections. “I am pleased to join the NIC Board and help guide its work in connecting senior living providers, care organizations, and investors,” said Baier. “These connections ultimately allow for more choice for America’s seniors, and that is aligned with Brookdale’s vision.” Baier’s term continues through December 31, 2020.
Baier will also join the Board of Directors of the Nashville Healthcare Council, an association of industry leaders working together to inspire global collaboration to improve health care by serving as a catalyst for leadership and innovation. The Council focuses on providing executives with timely information on key operational and policy challenges facing health care companies. Baier’s board appointment starts July 1, 2018 and runs through June 30, 2019.
